Migraines BirthControl and Chocolate

Since I had my first child my hormones are a little crazy (to say the least) and I started suffering from migraines. Chocolate is my biggest temptation and enemy. My other big enemy is birth control (the hormonal-kind) they all give me terrible headaches and raise my chances for a stroke. I have tried the Mirena-IUD but it was not my thing. The reason for me writting this now is because a neighbor send some brownies and I so wanna eat it but I just can't...I have to be strong!! I wish I could have some haggen-daz chocolate ice cream so bad :( or BYU creamery Ernest chocolate ice cream!!! those are my favorite. I also wish that I could use some birth control (besides condoms) cuz 4 kids to me is a wonderful blessing but enough....am I alone in this?

Crockpot BBQ Chicken

First of all thanks to Smashed Peas and Carrots for this recipe it was delicious and super easy/fast to make.

This was dinner last night and while my crockpot took care of dinner I got the fridge clean and by the time that dinner was done I had pick up my son from school and my fridge was completely clean, Oh and I also fed my baby! needless to say it was a very productive day for me :)

The kids really like the potatoes and my hubby had seconds...

I recommend this recipe to busy mom its easy to make and delicious. We actually had leftover for lunch today. Again thank you to Smashed Peas and Carrots !!

I wish I had....a sister

Today I saw Oprah's episode about her half sister Patricia. I have a older sister but we are not close at all and I wish things would be different. It would be wonderful if I could get up tomorrow and have a sister in my life, it would literally rock my world. But since that wont happen...life goes on.

Baptism dress

So its my daughter 8 birthday in March and I'm already thinking dresses for her baptism, I found a few that I love but not one that I would settle for. Over all I love them all!!
here are the options:
the one on top is lovely I specially love the gathers on the shirt of the dress.

I love the skirt and the color (light caramel) but my daughters dress needs to be white.

The white on top is great with lots of the details I want in a dress but it doesn't have sleeves I'm not happy about that but I can work around it. I think its a winner. Whats your favorite?

I wanna hear your opinion leave a comment, please!!!

Hairbow Display/Storage

Well I made one of this for my girls and it was so easy to make that I thought why not make it into a tutorial?! here we go.... you will need

*One piece of wood (which ever size or shape you want)

*Acrilic paint & brush

*Ribbon (I recommend you use grossgrain)

*Hot glue (and of course a H.G.gun)

*D-Strap frame hangers (I got 10pk for $1.97 @ walmart, I highly recommend you getting some for this project but they are not a must)

First you start by painting your wood. Sometimes you might need a second coat but you'll be the judge on that

Next you get your letters ready. You have to paint them before you start this step and let them dry. Letters are not a must, you can use almost anything that you can glue to wood or even better get creative and hand paint something beautiful.

Next I cut my strips of ribbon, mine are about 12in long and heat their ends so they wont frey **be careful not to burn your fingers**

This is how my ribbon tips look after burning them

Now this next steps are not necessary but I like doing them. Glue and fold over.

Again glue and fold over.

This will be the tips of your ribbon at the botton of the project.

Now at the opposite end of the ribbon you will glue on the right side of the ribbon and glue to the back of your wood **remenber that the right side of your ribbon should be facing the front of the project**.
You will repeat this and the previous step on all your strips of ribbons, I had three on this particular project.

Now do the last step on the top piece of ribbon that will be use to hang the project. If you decide to use the D-Strap frame hangers this would be the time to nail them to the back of the wood. I didnt use them just because I was lazy...

I hope this tutorial is useful to someone. If you like it, love it or have questions please leave me a comment and I'll get back to you, but please tell me what you think!!
