Smock from One Yard Wonders

This smock its wonderful and easy to make. I'm absolutely in love with One Yard Wonders by Rebecca Yaker and Patricia Hoskins. I was making it for a friend but I just cant resist...its all mine now!! I'm planing on making another one with some adjustments like bigger/wider pockets, two extra ties and maybe a little longer. I suggest you get this book asap One Yard Wonders

Christmas Tree Ornaments

I made this about 3 weeks ago with my 7 year old daughter and we're very happy with the results needless to say that they look great on our tree :) again thanks to dana-made-it.com for the great tutorial...her blog is inspirational to me ;) I use it a ton!!!

National sewing month

September its almost over and been the national sewing month I felt inspire to sew Pj pants for the kids and a dress for one of the girls. I will post pictures soon. I have also been looking at blogs and tutorials for inpiration and boy am I inspire!! I just cant wait to recover from surgery to start some new projects. At another time I will share some of the projects I have seen on other blogs that I plan on making.

Create; its about a process of learning

So I been thinking about creativity or what it means to have the ability to create as spirit daughters/son of God. It is natural for any person to want to create something new and unique but thats just part of the plan because its not our own intelligence the one that its capable of getting us to succeed in our plans but the light of his intelligence that shines on us to let us create something new and unique. The mistake comes when we take all the credit for ourselves. To me the biggest gift of creativity that our father in heaven has given us is procreation yet to deny our own selfs this blessing is putting a limit to our ability to grow.
